The Kerry/Edwards campaign and the Democratic National Committee are advising election operatives to declare voter intimidation -- even if none exists, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.

A 66-page mobilization plan to be issued by the Kerry/Edwards campaign and the Democratic National Committee states: "If no signs of intimidation techniques have emerged yet, launch a 'pre-emptive strike.'"

The provocative Dem battle plan is to be distributed in dozens of states, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

One top DNC official confirmed the manual's authenticity, but claimed the notion of crying wolf on any voter intimidation is "absurd."

"We all know the Republicans are going to try to steal the election by scaring people and confusing people," the top DNC source explained.

The same thing happened in Florida back in 2000. The Gore campaign hired a Dallas firm before the election to call registered Florida Democrats on election day to suggest they complain about the ballot.

I firmly believe what happened in Florida was to a large extent designed.

Anywho, "preemptive" striking is yet more proof of the low level to which politics has sunk. Listening to lie after lie after lie in the debates tells me there is no honor in politics. If the manual you post is for real, it just reinforces my opinion.

One more thing. Many people still believe the voters were coerced or denied voting in Florida. This has largely found to be false.

I agree that politics is a dirty business, but I'm wondering how you can vote for a party that sanctions this sort of thing.

I never did understand the contention that Bush "stole" the election in 2000. Voting is not difficult. It requires marginal reading skills.

I think you're mostly of the ABB (Anyone But Bush) camp, but I just don't understand the underhanded dealings of the Democrats.

Came from Drudge, looks fake. Big splashy graphics, and the first point is # 2, where is # 1? Note incorrect use of "there" which makes the sentence incomprehensible, etc. Prolly written by a prominent dyslexic Republican.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I didn't read it as closely as you did, but I'll withhold judgment until we verify its authenticity.

With regards to gae's comment about the depths to which the Democrats have sunk, I don't think the Republican Party is any better.

On a local level, I got a recorded phone "survey" last night regarding Issue 3, where a series of questions like "Do you think gays deserve special rights?" were asked and answers were not recorded.

    Good times.

I loathe Bush with every fiber of my being. Kerry looks like a saint by comparison.
